Hundreds Jump in Water

To welcome the Year of the Dragon, we invite everyone to participate in the "Hundreds Jump in Water" event, showcasing their creative donning styles inspired by the "Year of the Dragon". The top 10 participants with the most impressive "Year of the Dragon" costume styles will be rewarded with the "Superb Fresh Seafood – The Seafood Giftbox". We welcome all of you to join us! 
※The "Year of the Dragon Style Dress-Up Award": The judges will select the top 10 participants with the most impressive donning style, and the winners will receive the "Superb Fresh Seafood – The Seafood Giftbox".

Important Notice :

1.​Ensure all details on the registration form are filled out completely. Incomplete or unidentifiable information will result in the rejection of the registration.
2.​Individuals with high blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, or pregnancy are advised not to participate in this event. Those with other medical conditions are also advised to carefully evaluate your health before joining this activity.
3.​Participants in unique attire should avoid wearing clothing made of materials that easily absorb water and do not float (such as capes, cloaks, etc.), as well as objects that could impede swimming (such as ropes, pipes, bicycles, etc.). etc.)
4.​Upon successful registration, you will receive a registration receipt. Please provide the registration receipt and personal identification documents on the event day for verification.

5. When checking in on the event day, please submit or fill out the disclaimer form; otherwise, you will not be able to join the water jumping activity.

Event Date: Saturday, February 24, 2024
Check-in Time: At 8:00 a.m.
(please complete the registration process before 9:00 a.m.; and, due to tide and safety issues, participants of the "Hundreds Jump in Water" event should check in on time to ensure a smooth event on that day)
Check-in Location: In front of Wanli District Fishermen’s Association
(No. 56-1, ​Gangdong Rd, Wanli District , New Taipei City/ turn right 50 m after passing Baoan Temple).

Important notice

(1).​Please dress appropriately to ensure swimming safety and avoid obstructing the diving route.
(2).Avoid wearing clothing made of materials that easily absorb water and do not float, such as capes, cloaks, and ropes.  
(3).Refrain from bringing any objects that could impede swimming, including pipes, bicycles, skateboards, etc.
1.​Please collect your "Warrior Certificate" on the event day, as certificates will not be issued for overdue claims.  
 
2.​When dressing up, please pay attention to the following:
3.​As this event takes place in the winter under cold conditions:
(1).​It is recommended that you wear a wetsuit.
(2).​Please pay attention to cold protection before gathering and lining up.
(3).​Individuals with high or low blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, asthma, pregnancy, or those with poor health conditions are advised not to participate in the water jumping activity.
(4).​Please carefully assess your personal physical and mental health before deciding to join the water jumping activity.
4.​Special reminders：
(1).​Do not stay overnight or drink alcohol before this water jumping activity. Refrain from entering the water if you are physically unwell. Do not bring any hazardous objects. Avoid rushing or competing recklessly.
(2).​On the event day, remember to have breakfast to maintain your physical health and prevent a drop in body temperature. Check and wear the life jacket appropriately, and pay attention to your physical well-being. If you feel unwell, do not force yourself to complete the entire course. Be attentive when coming ashore to avoid falling due to dizziness. Follow the guidance of on-site staff.
5.​If you notice any issues at the event venue, please inform on-site staff identifiable by their work credentials.
 
6.​Please place and store your personal belongings according to on-site instructions. The organizer is not responsible for the safekeeping of valuable items.

Superb Fresh Seafood – Special Sale on Seafood Giftbox

Yehliu is a sea harbor renowned for its diverse and fresh seafood. As a gesture of appreciation for those participating in the Yehliu Harbor Purification event, the organizers have arranged a special seafood sale, where largehead hairtails and small squids caught by fishermen during the season will be packaged into giftboxes. At this event, these sets will be sold at a discounted price of NT$660, down from the original price of NT$1200, with only 600 sets available.

Baoan Temple ​– Divination Block Casting Competition

Activity items/ regulations:

  1. The preliminary round will take place on Friday, February 23. Participants can register for the competition on-site and line up at the Yehliu Baoan Temple. On-site staff will guide them to cast divination blocks.
  2. In the preliminary round, one person will cast divination blocks at a time. In case of receiving a “Yes” response, the person can continue to cast divination blocks. Participants who successfully receive “Yes” responses from the divination blocks three consecutive times in a single day will receive a set of arm sleeves (limited offer; for the first 100 successful challengers only). The first 30 participants who successfully receive "Yes" responses from the divination blocks five consecutive times will advance to the final round.
  3. The final round takes place on Saturday, February 24, between 09:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. (during the Purification Sea Patrol period). In the final round, the number of “Yes” responses from the divination blocks will be recounted, and the person who wins the most “Yes” responses will be the winner.
  4. "If the two divination blocks stand on the ground with two crescent-shaped tips, the casting will be considered invalid. Nevertheless, the participant can continue to cast divination blocks.
  5. If the venue becomes crowded with participants, the organizer reserves the right to make adjustments to the number of participants or the schedule as deemed necessary.
